Our STCW CFBS Refresher (Without Medical 1) course is designed for seafarers and professional yachtsmen who need to renew their STCW approved Basic Safety Training Certificate in accordance with the latest STCW code (Manila Amendments 2010). The STCW CFBS, or Certificat de Formation de Base à la Sécurité, is the French equivalent of the international STCW Basic Safety Training and is mandatory for anyone seeking employment on board a professional vessel under the French flag. This refresher course ensures that participants remain compliant with both IMO (International Maritime Organization) and DIRM regulations in France.
The STCW CFBS certificate is valid for five years, after which a refresher course is required to maintain certification and ensure up-to-date knowledge of essential safety procedures. Our training focuses on updating the practical and theoretical skills necessary to respond effectively to emergencies at sea, including ship abandonment and fire incidents. Please note that this course does not include the Elementary First Aid refresher, as it is not always required or may be completed separately depending on individual needs or regulations.
Our program is tailored specifically for French seafarers and covers all mandatory aspects required for revalidation. The course combines classroom instruction with hands-on exercises to ensure participants are fully prepared to work safely and efficiently on board. Upon successful completion, attendees will have their STCW CFBS certification revalidated for another five years, meeting all current legal and industry requirements.
