Our STCW BST & PSCRB Refresher course is designed for seafarers who need to renew their STCW Basic Safety Training and Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats certification in accordance with the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW). This refresher training is mandatory every five years for all crew members with designated safety or pollution-prevention duties, as well as those assigned to operate survival craft and rescue boats (excluding fast rescue boats). The course is fully approved by the national flagstate and meets all international requirements.
The STCW BST & PSCRB Refresher course focuses on practical modules, ensuring participants maintain the essential skills needed to respond to onboard emergencies, perform firefighting, provide first aid, and operate survival craft and rescue boats. To enroll, participants must provide a valid ID or passport, a medical certificate, swimming gear, a seafarer’s book, and proof of previous BST and PSCRB certification. Eligibility for the refresher is based on holding a valid Certificate of Competency or sufficient recent sea service, as detailed by STCW regulations. The new certificate issued upon successful completion will be valid for five years from the expiry date of the previous certificate.
All documentation must be submitted to our customer support team before enrollment for verification. The course includes practical assessments and is internationally recognized, ensuring compliance with STCW standards for continued service at sea.
