Our STCW BST & AFF & PSCRB Refresher course is designed for seafarers who need to renew their STCW Basic Safety Training, Advanced Fire Fighting, and Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats certifications. This combined refresher training ensures compliance with the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) and is approved by the national flagstate. The course is essential for all crew members with safety or pollution-prevention duties, officers responsible for fire-fighting operations, and those assigned to operate survival craft or rescue boats other than fast rescue boats.
The refresher is mandatory every five years to maintain the validity of your STCW certificates. Participants must provide a valid ID or passport, a medical certificate, swimming gear, seafarer’s book, and their previous BST, AFF, and PSCRB certificates. Eligibility requires either a valid Certificate of Competency, proof of at least 365 days of sea service in the past five years, or at least three months of sea service in the last six months. It is important to note that the new certificate will be valid for five years from the expiry date of the previous certificate, not from the course completion date. Please ensure all required documents are submitted to our customer support team before enrollment for verification.
Our training focuses on practical modules and assessments, covering essential survival techniques, advanced fire-fighting leadership, and the operation of survival craft and rescue boats. Upon successful completion, participants receive internationally recognized STCW certificates valid for five years. This course is suitable for deck and engine crew, stewards, officers, and operational staff who require revalidation to continue working at sea in compliance with international maritime regulations.
