Our NOGEPA 1.1B Helicopter Landing Officer / 2.9B Helicopter Fire Fighting (Combi) course is designed as a comprehensive refresher for offshore professionals responsible for helicopter operations and emergency response. This combination training ensures participants remain fully up to date with the latest NOGEPA standards, as outlined in the newest NOGEPA Handbook. The course is essential for those who already hold valid NOGEPA 1.1A or 1.1B and NOGEPA 2.9A or 2.9B certificates, and must be repeated every two years to maintain certification. For more details, visit the NOGEPA 1.1B / 2.9B refresher page.
The training begins with the NOGEPA 1.1B Helicopter Landing Officer refresher, covering all aspects of helicopter operations on offshore installations, both in routine and emergency situations. This is followed by the NOGEPA 2.9B Helicopter Fire Fighting module, which refreshes participants’ skills in responding to helicopter fires and conducting rescue operations on small offshore platforms. The latest update to the course includes a new Breathing Apparatus module, and participants are now required to present an offshore medical certificate with ERT and an additional certificate for wearing breathing apparatus.
Upon successful completion, delegates receive renewed NOGEPA 1.1B and 2.9B certification, each valid for two years. To enroll, participants must bring a valid government-issued photo ID, a current offshore medical certificate (with the additional requirement for breathing apparatus), and valid NOGEPA 1.1A/B and 2.9A/B certificates. The refresher course can be attended within three months before the expiry date of current certificates, retaining the original expiry date.
