Our NOGEPA 0.5B Basic Offshore Safety course is a one-day refresher designed for personnel working on offshore installations in the North Sea. This training is essential for maintaining up-to-date knowledge and skills in offshore safety, focusing on both practical and theoretical aspects. The course ensures that participants are prepared to respond effectively to emergency situations, emphasizing the importance of personal and collective safety on offshore platforms.
The NOGEPA 0.5B Basic Offshore Safety refresher covers all the critical elements of the original NOGEPA 0.5A Basic Offshore Safety training, with updated content to include the CA-EBS system. Since July 1, 2020, the CA-EBS component is integrated into this training, reflecting the current requirements for helicopter travel in the North Sea sector. All Dutch and English helicopters operating in this area are now equipped with the CA-EBS system, and a valid CA-EBS certificate is mandatory for offshore travel by helicopter. Practical CA-EBS training in shallow water is included for delegates with the appropriate medical clearance, while those without this clearance will complete a dry training session. Both methods result in the same certification.
Participants will receive certification that includes the Escape Chute and Norwegian suit certificate when training in the Netherlands and France. There is a mutual agreement between NOGEPA and OPITO, allowing participants to book a BOSIET with CA-EBS certificate alongside this training if required. To enroll, delegates must bring a valid government-issued photographic ID, an extra set of dry clothes and a towel, a personal safety logbook if available, and a valid offshore medical certificate with clearance for shallow water CA-EBS.
The refresher course can be attended within a three-month window before the expiry date of the current certificate, maintaining the original expiry date.
