Our HAZMAT – DOT Shipping (8 Hour) course provides comprehensive training on the safe and compliant transportation of hazardous materials. Through this training, participants learn to identify specific hazardous materials using the hazardous materials table, define hazardous substances, and determine reportable quantities as outlined in Appendix A. The course also covers the identification of marine pollutants using Appendix B, proper shipping methods across air, water, rail, and highway, and the required information for shipping papers. Additional topics include labeling, marking, placarding, and documentation for hazardous waste shipments, as well as record retention requirements. The curriculum emphasizes the responsibilities of both carriers and shippers for each mode of transportation and details carrier loading and unloading requirements.
