Our GWO Manual Handling (E-learning + Practical) course is specifically designed for personnel in the wind industry who are involved in physical tasks in and around wind turbines. This blended learning program follows the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) standards and focuses on minimizing the risk of injury while promoting a safer working environment. The course begins with a 2-hour e-learning module that participants can complete at their own pace, followed by a hands-on practical session at our training center.
The e-learning component provides essential theoretical knowledge about safe manual handling techniques, which is then reinforced during the practical session. Here, participants have the opportunity to apply what they have learned, practicing safe lifting, carrying, and moving of equipment in a controlled environment. This approach ensures that all attendees are well-prepared to handle physical work safely and ergonomically, reducing the risk of musculoskeletal injuries such as back strains.
Access to the e-learning platform is granted four weeks before the course start date, allowing ample time for completion. For those booking within this period, immediate access is provided. Upon successful completion of both the e-learning and practical components, participants receive a GWO Manual Handling certificate that remains valid for two years. GWO also offers a 60-day window before certificate expiration for participants to complete a refresher course without affecting the original expiry date. If the certificate expires, the full course must be retaken.
