Medical Certification at FMTC

In order to take part in offshore and maritime courses a valid medical certificate is often required. For example for the basic courses NOGEPA 0.5 Basic Offshore Safety and STCW Basic Safety Training. From now on you can directly book your offshore and medical examination at FMTC. In case you demand a medical examination, you can indicate this in our booking form. You will receive an email with al relevant information for your medical examination.

FMTC closely works together with the doctors of Mediwerk. The medical certificates are valid for NOGEPA, OLF, OGUK and STCW.

The medical examination

Medical examination is necessary because in case something were to happen to you at sea, it often takes long before emergency services arrive at the location. It’s for this reason that you have to be healthy in order for you not to be a threat to yourself and your colleagues.

The examination always starts with a questionnaire about your history, inheritable factors and use of medication. Various parts are tested during a medical examination. For example hearing, sight, urine, cardiac function and your shape. The obtained certificate is valid for 2 years and it will be stamped in your personal safety logbook.
